Lola Kingsley (b. 1999) is a Montreal-based film photographer and visual artist. Through research, material engagement, and archival exploration, her practice examines subtle transformations within subjects, places, and environments.

Working with an attentiveness to presence, her photographs trace shifts in form and state, inviting an encounter between stillness and motion, intimacy and distance, permanence and change. Details that might otherwise go unnoticed reveal themselves through these transformations, becoming works in themselves.

Her practice often extends into installation as a means of preserving and presenting these processes. In this form, the work becomes an offering as a space to re-encounter what has been observed, gathered, and rearticulated.
